Know Where to Find Your Deals

I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love to trade recipes with my friends but what makes us more excited than anything else, is getting a good deal. In the past, I had been too lazy to search for deals but now it’s a social activity and a fun one at that! A handful of my friends and I live for getting a mani/ pedi combo for ridiculously cheap or eating out at our favorite restaurants for half the price. What I have learned? It’s that you have to know where to find a good deal. We share information and are sure to keep each other abreast of the daily situation. Friends don’t let friends miss a deal!

It doesn’t matter where you live, there is bound to be some version of the following, if city based, just do yourself a tiny bit of research and bask in the glow of the extra cash in your pocket! My top 5 favorite places for deals on the internet, in no particular order:

Groupon

How it works? Each day Groupon has something cool to do ranging from spa discounts to restaurant deals back around to hot air balloon rides, based on the power of group buying. I myself have gotten many a pedicure and also a half off coupon for my favorite local vintage clothes shop. Not too shabby.  Sign up for their emails and you’ll receive a notification on each day’s deal. Groupon is extremely widespread. I get Boston’s updates but you can sign up for multiple cities including but not limited to Chicago, Las Vegas, San Diego, Raleigh, Dallas, New Orleans, Washington DC and more! Trick with Groupon is that it’s daily. You like to think for a couple days on whether you’ll snatch up the deal? You snooze you lose. As an example, my local Boston Groupon today?

Living Social

How it works? Similar to Groupon, Living Social offers daily deals  from local businesses. A plus about Living Social is that once you have purchased the deal, you get a unique link to share with friends. If 3 of your friends purchase the same deal? Yours is free. Living Social is also easy to find in your area. The website offers links to various cities across the country and also lets you follow multiple cities’ deals. I travel a lot for work so I am always watching Philadelphia, Minneapolis and Raleigh as well! Los Angeles Living Social Deal of the day:

Buy With Me

How it works? Buy With Me is different in that there can be multiple deals at a time for multiple days at a time. I sign up for the emails so I am notified when a new deal starts up. The plus here is that you have time to think about purchasing a deal or talk to your man about buying those Rock Climbing passes. One of many New York City deals right now?

Deal Catcher

How it works? Unlike the above sites, Deal Catcher is just that. The site updates with lower prices and coupons at all of your favorite retailers. From clothing and accessories to flatware to laptops, this website offers you the ability to see many different online vendors and their offerings, all in one place. You can check out your favorite stores Sunday ads or compare prices on that item you have been waiting to buy. My favorite tab on their page is the printable coupons. I love me some percentage off everything deals!

Woot

How it works? One day, one deal. Unlike the other one day, one deal jobbies, this site has a limited quantity of the daily deal on hand. The people who run Woot have a sense of humor so their product descriptions will always make you chuckle. The site also works as a forum for it’s users as well.  It can be really fun to check out what the daily Woot is but similarly disappointing when it’s the Star Wars bobbleheads. Woot is not limited to to the random deals of the original site. There is also a Kids Woot, Wine Woot, Shirt Woot and Sellout Woot… all with deals of their own, linked directly to Woot. Todays deal you ask?

These are my daily stops in order to save myself some sweet moola for me and my man. Where do you frequent for the best deals? Do share because, sharing is caring! A shout out to some of my favorite deal bloggers, my local Wicked Cool Deals and Free Mania.
